Juxtaposition - deliberate placement of contrasting ideas or situations

Vocab: 

Stilted: pg 43 - Stilted means awkward, stiff, or unnatural, especially in the way someone moves, speaks, or behaves.

Latrine: pg 44 - A latrine is a simple toilet, often just a pit dug in the ground, used when proper indoor plumbing isn’t available.
